Internal Audit Awareness Month May Be Ending, But our Mission Continues
As Internal Audit Awareness Month comes to a close, I find myself both reflective and energized. May is our moment to spotlight the value and integrity of the internal audit profession. It’s a time to celebrate how we protect organizations, improve processes, and control risk before it materializes. For me, it’s also been a month of building, learning, and shipping.
At AuditBrands, I set a personal and professional goal to launch a brand-new Chrome Extension (CPETracker.net) by the end of May. While I won’t quite hit that deadline, the work accomplished this month has been prolific! (See the in month releases). What began as a web application has been completely rewritten as a browser-based tool. Internal auditors will not be able to track their continuing professional education (CPE) with more ease, visibility, and control.

And it’s more than just a rebuild!

This extension is engineered with privacy at its core. From day one, I designed it so that it does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). That means instant alignment with GDPR, CCPA, and a host of other privacy regulations. Innovation in our field must always align with ethics and compliance.
So yes, the goal was May—but the launch will be in June. And that’s okay. Because the work we do doesn’t end when the calendar page turns. AuditBrands is just getting started!
We’re committed to building tools, creating training programs, and eventually, developing talent pipelines that empower the next generation of audit professionals.
Whether it’s a Chrome extension, a Python learning module, or a new way to connect job seekers with opportunities, we’re here for the long game.
Internal audit deserves modern infrastructure and thoughtful innovation.

So as we close out Internal Audit Awareness Month, let’s not lose momentum. Let’s keep building, learning, and raising the bar—together.
